arts, Den Haag, where he achieved the BA degree in 2006.

From 2006 until 2008 MA completed his Master study in Documentary
Photography at AKV|St.Joost Breda. MA has set a thematically focus
on the former totalitarian regime of the GDR and a persons conflict
being inmate and warder. He is questioning the author's usage of
photographyin relation of private remembrance and political evidence.
MA investigates the relationship between humans and the need of
(physical) borders. Surveillance, the image of the political enemy,
general suspicion and the panoptical system are keywords of his
research.
MA combines in his work photography, found footage (video/ photo)
and sound in relation of different forms of representation such
as book, film or installation.

Meike Eggers
Flensburg 1973
Lives and works in Rotterdam, NL
Meike Eggers (ME) studied Communication Design at the Institute
of Art and Media in Potsdam, Germany and Editorial Photography at
the University of Brighton, UK, where she achieved the BA (hons)
degree in 1997.
From 1997 until 2006 ME worked as a freelance photographer in London,
Berlin and Hamburg, mainly in the fields of architecture, city planning
and urbanity. Next to her photographic work she was involved in
several Internet productions, developing communication concepts
and visual strategies. She was the co-founder of an Internet Stock
agency, where she also works as picture editor ('02 - '09).
From 2006 until 2008 ME completed her Master study in Documentary
Photography at AKV|St.Joost Breda, NL. In addition to her study
she worked as a research-assistant at the AKV|St.Joost research
groups (for Filp Bool - Senior Researcher and Head of Collections
Dutch Photography Museum Rotterdam).
During her MA study she deepened her interest in new media. ME investigates
the field of amateur footage published via grassroots media for
example on platforms like youtube or weblogs. She is questioning
how these phenomena change human perception of reality and the position
of lens based images.
ME has initiated diverse art projects, lectures and publications
about this subject.
